The Hardest Choice

I was hoping this day would never come. Choosing my favorite book out of all my favorite books is utterly impossible for me. All the books that I have read, the ones I chose myself, have given me a different reason to call them my favorite. Most of them are my favorite because they are capable of making me cry and let my emotions overflow. Others have imaginative worlds that I wished I lived in. The rest have beautiful writing and remarkable characters. However, since I have no choice I would have to say that my favorite book, for now, is The Maze Runner. This book, with all of its surprises and twists, could never be described as dull or tiresome and that is why I have chosen it to be my favorite.

The story begins when Thomas wakes up in a community of young boys all living on a type of farm surrounded by very high walls. All of the boys, including him, have no memory of who they are except for their names. Thomas then learns that beyond the walls is a massive maze populated with monsters. Then a girl arrives, the first girl ever, and all takes a turn for the worse.

One of the things that I enjoyed most was that I could never let my guard down when reading this book. Every chapter is filled with a mystery and each one is more thrilling than the last. Another great thing about this book is the characters. When reading I noticed that every major character had a purpose. In the end they were all important and each one of them had a vital role to play. The best thing about them was that, aside from their differences, they all acted like family because all they had was each other. When reading this book, my advice to you would be to always expect the unexpected.
